CULTURAL AFFAIRS OFFICE

The Cultural Affairs Office is part of the UNSJ University Extension Secretariat, created on May 20, 1988 to define a clear policy for engagement with the broader community. Since its creation, its core mission has been to support social transformation through interaction between the University and society, linking cultural and scientific work to social realities. As a strategic unit, it builds partnerships with public, private, and community institutions across the province, either through co-management or by leading concrete policies and actions. From the beginning, it has developed workshops, seminars, and artistic activities that promote access, training, and cultural development for the whole community. Today, from a critical extension perspective, the challenge is to foster interactive cooperation among university members and social actors, combining knowledge and shared learning to expand collective culture and promote the socially productive use of knowledge, with special attention to historically underserved sectors.
